Our team coordinates referral intake, benefits verification, authorization requirements, scheduling, treatment administration, and ongoing communication throughout the course of therapy.

Built within Southwest Women’s Oncology

Southwest Women’s Oncology is a long-established New Mexico specialty practice serving patients throughout Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and surrounding communities.

Optimum Infusion was developed to extend that same commitment to coordinated, patient-centered care into specialty infusion services. By operating within an established practice environment, our infusion program is supported by experienced healthcare professionals, established clinical processes, and physician leadership.

Karen Finkelstein, MD

Gynecologic Oncologist

Dr. Finkelstein is double board certified in OB/GYN and GYN/ONC and is the first in New Mexico to receive accreditation as a Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery and Minimally Invasive Gynecology. She leads the Southwest Women’s Oncology team with a commitment to clinical excellence and coordinated care.

PREYA WISNER, DO

Gynecologic Oncologist

Dr. Preya Wisner is a gynecologic oncology specialist committed to providing her patients with the best treatment plans possible as well as peace of mind. She is an expert in sentinel lymph node mapping and minimally invasive surgery.

STEPHANIE BEYES, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Stephanie Beyes is a University of St. Francis graduate. She has had a lifelong passion for oncology and is committed to serving the New Mexico community.

Jacklyn Chavez is a University of New Mexico graduate who brings experience, skill and focus to her mission of providing excellent care for all women.

Nurse Practitioner

Family Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Ortiz, NP, is a New Mexico native dedicated to women’s health, leveraging her prior experience in cardiac progressive care and home health management.

MARI TACBAD, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Mari Tacbad, PA-C, is from California and studied at UCSD before earning her PA degree from the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque. She joined SWWO after graduation and is passionate about women’s health.

DENISE WRIGHT, FNP-C

Denise feels very fortunate to be able to care for the amazing patients at SWWO. She has been an RN for about eight years.
